Risa Wataya (綿矢 りさ, Wataya Risa, born February 1, 1984) is a female Japanese novelist from Kyoto. Her short novel Keritai senaka won the Akutagawa Prize and has sold more than a million copies.
綿矢 りさ （わたや りさ、 1984年 〈 昭和 59年〉 2月1日 - ）は、 日本 の 小説家 。 経歴. 京都府 京都市 生まれ。 金閣寺 近くの閑静な住宅街で育った [1] 。 父は 服飾 関係（着物）会社に勤める サラリーマン [2] [3] 、母は短大の 准教授 [1] （ 英語 教員 [3] ）という家庭環境にて育つ。 3歳下の弟がいる [1] 。 17歳のときに 太宰治 の作品に引き込まれ、作家になろうと決めた。 京都市立紫野高等学校 在学中に「 インストール 」で第38回 文藝賞 受賞。 受賞当時17歳であり、第18回（ 1981年 〈昭和56年〉）の 堀田あけみ （『 アイコ十六歳 』）以来20年ぶりの最年少タイ記録として話題となった [注 1] 。
